Welcome to argiro.gr (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”). This policy is an integral part of the Website’s Terms of Use.

ΑLTER EGO MEDIA, in its capacity as Data Controller (hereinafter referred to as “ALTER EGO MEDIA” or “we”), hereby informs you, in accordance with Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2106/679, hereinafter “GDPR”), about the type of personal data collected, the sources of collection, the purposes and legal bases for processing, any recipients of such data, the time of their retention, as well as your rights as data subjects, in the context of your use and registration on the Website.
Should you wish to register with ALTER EGO MEDIA, registration is carried out via redirection to the main ALTER EGO MEDIA website: alteregomedia.org. The privacy policy posted on the ALTER EGO MEDIA main website: alteregomedia.org also applies to the processing of your personal data during registration.

We collect personal data directly from you when you visit, use the Website, register by creating a User account with ALTER EGO MEDIA through redirection to the main website of ALTER EGO MEDIA: alteregomedia.org, contact us for any reason via email, telephone, or any other means, as well as when you subscribe to our newsletter.

3.2. Collection of data by automated means through the use of the Website
Some data is collected either with the help of cookies (for more information on the use of cookies, please read our relevant policy) or automatically when you visit the Website.
When you visit the Website, we may collect data from you through your browsing and use of our services. Specifically, due to the way the internet works, as soon as you visit the Website, our server records your IP address, which constitutes personal data, even if we cannot identify you ourselves based on this information, as well as some other information, such as the date and time of your visit.
The legal basis for collecting and storing data in special files (log files) is our legitimate interest (6(1)(f) GDPR) in order to ensure the security of networks, information, and services from accidental events or unlawful or malicious actions that jeopardise the availability, authenticity, integrity, and confidentiality of stored or transmitted data (e.g., denial-of-service attack monitoring), as well as to effectively address any technical issues. This processing is in accordance with the relevant legal framework, as it does not pose serious risks to your rights and freedoms, and is permitted under the GDPR and national legislation, as it is based on our legitimate interest.

Your consent and your data (email address) will be retained for as long as your consent is valid and for five (5) years thereafter, subject to compliance with legal obligations or for the establishment, exercise or support legal claims of ALTER EGO MEDIA.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by selecting “Unsubscribe” in any relevant communication you receive and request the deletion of your data.
In the event of withdrawal of consent, ALTER EGO MEDIA will cease the relevant processing operations, however, the withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to the withdrawal.

ALTER EGO MEDIA also reserves the right to regularly update registered Users via email or any other appropriate means of communication using their contact details, which have been obtained legally, within the framework of its transactional relationship with Users (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and Article 11(3) of Law 3471/2006), provided that the User does not object to such communication. This communication concerns the sending of newsletters from the Website, as well as information about similar products or services of ALTER EGO MEDIA or for similar purposes, such as sending updates on ALTER EGO MEDIA Group news, offers, and other related issues that we believe are of interest to the User. The User has the right to object to the processing of their data for the purpose of sending the Newsletter by selecting “Unsubscribe” in any relevant communication they receive.

Firstly, access to your data is restricted to authorized ALTER EGO MEDIA personnel, who process your data under strict confidentiality conditions, solely within the scope of the above legal purposes.

Please note that ALTER EGO MEDIA may refuse, in whole or in part, to comply with your request to restrict the processing or erasure of your data if the processing or retention of your personal data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defend its legal rights or fulfill its legal obligations.
