Place the strawberries and the sugar in the blender and blend into a puree. With the blender running, add the vodka or any other spirit you prefer. You can also make strawberry liqueur with brandy, though it darkens the color. You can likewise use gin, white rum, or grappa. Chill the strawberry liqueur thoroughly and keep it in the fridge.
